Controversial remedy for cancer reportedly has saved many lives

Cancer is now the leading cause of death for American women, and, if current trends continue, it will become the leading cause of death for both men and women by the year 2000, stated Mitchell L. Gaynor, M.D., in Healing Essence.

Cancer deaths reported in 1990 in the United States were as follows: heart and blood vessel diseases (930,500); cancer (506,000); accidents (93,600); chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (78,600); all other causes (464,300).

"Cancer's rise to prominence as the leading cause of death in the U.S. will depend on a continuing decline in the incidence of cardiovascular disease, the current leading cause," Gaynor said.
