Vic: Irrigation channel, tip, searched for murder clues

Police are searching an irrigation channel and a tip for body parts .. after the discovery
of a man's torso in northern Victoria yesterday.

The partial remains of 26-year-old Shepparton man WILLIAM WOODS were found about 6pm
(AEDT) yesterday beside a road at Cosgrove .. east of Shepparton.

Police believe he was killed with a samurai sword .. and have confirmed only his torso was found.

Search and rescue officers were trawling an irrigation channel .. and a tip for body parts.

Four people were to appear in court at Shepparton today on murder related charges.





26 year old CHRISTOPHER JOHN MADDOX of Ford Road at Lemnos near Shepparton has been
charged with murder .. and was remanded at an out of sessions court to appear at Shepparton
Magistrates' Court today.

24 year old DONNA MCKINLEY and 59 year old DONALD MCKINLEY both also of Ford Road at
Lemnos .. and 29 year old BRIAN LAWRENCE of Malcolm Crescent at Shepparton .. are all
charged with being accessaries after the fact to murder.

All three were bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates' Court today.
