Fed: Samson & Delilah wins best film at AFI Awards

SAMSON and DELILAH triumphed at the AFI Awards last night .. taking out top honours
including best film .. best direction and best original screenplay.

Director WARWICK THORNTON accepted the best film trophy from Australia star BRANDON
WALTERS .. getting down on his knees to hug the young actor.

The film's two stars .. MARISSA GIBSON and ROWAN MCNAMARA were joint winners of the
AFI young actor award .. with GIBSON accepting for both of them.

Meanwhile .. Balibo's taken out the award for best adapted screenplay .. with director
ROBERT CONNOLLY accepting the trophy.
